In photos | Iker Casillas is on vacation in Cartagena: "You go back to the place you love and they treat you incredibly."

Former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas is visiting Cartagena. The former footballer shared a series of images from the Rosario Islands, enjoying the beach.

The images, shared on Instagram, were published on July 19. In the first, he can be seen relaxing in an armchair while wearing a guayabera, shorts, a hat, and sunglasses.

A couple of hours later, in a second image, Casillas revealed he was at Bora Bora Beach Club in the Rosario Islands. The image was accompanied by a powerful message: "And you return to the place you love and they treat you incredibly! Wonderful."

In a third post, the former player can be seen at sea, with the orange sky in the background. In his most recent stories, he also shared some photos of himself, one of whom shows him sipping a coconut and another of him enjoying the waters of the Caribbean Sea.

This isn't the first time the 2010 FIFA World Cup champion from South Africa has visited the area. In June 2022, Casillas surprised his fans by revealing that he was in downtown Cartagena.

At the time, I was in the city for the Casa Herbalife program, a product of the alliance between Herbalife Nutrition North America and LaLiga, which supports more than 300 children.

That year, the former Real Madrid goalkeeper visited La Héroica and took photos with the Palenquera women.

“Silence, filming is happening in Cartagena! What a beautiful city,” he wrote.

When he left, he promised to return to Cartagena, and it seems that he finally kept his promise : "I've heard great things about Cartagena de Indias, but until I came here to see for myself... it's an incredible city. I'm in love with it. I'll be back."
